Located in inner Nørrebro, Blegdamsvej 4 was once home to a popular bakery and has now been transformed into a residential building. The property consists of a forecourt and a rear building, divided into 13 modern apartments.
We stepped in to tie up lose ends, quality check and resolve design issues. Our role as architect, coordinator and consultant extended to the design and execution of landscaping elements, garbage disposal and lighting.
Loft apartments are unique in the sense that they extend to the kip and are lit by natural light streaming in through skylights and bay windows.
Details like exposed brick walls of filled in windows bridge the gap between modern living and historic expression.
An oasis in the middle of the city
Small terraces provide a transition from the vibrant street to the quiet building. Large patios allow ample daylight to enter each apartment.
